On behalf of the Organizing Committee we invite you to attend the LMPS-2009. The conference continues the tradition of the LMPS conferences held in Irkutsk in 2000, 2003 and 2006 and organized jointly by the Energy Systems Institute (Irkutsk, Russia), Dortmund University of Technology (Germany) and IEEE PES Russian and German chapters.

The conference is intended to provide a forum for scientists and engineers interested in coordinated monitoring and control of electric power systems to share ideas, research results, to learn from each other and to establish new contacts.

The conference is organized in the framework of the project "Intelligent Coordination of Operation and Emergency Control of EU and Russian Power Grids" (ICOEUR) which is supported by European Commission and Russian Federal Agency for Science and Innovations throught the 7^th Framework Program on Scientific Researches and Technological Workouts of EU
